Moving tips - packing supplies and boxes

Before You Pack

Packing

When packing, consider where items will go in your new home. Arrange boxes by room to make unpacking easier. All supplies can be purchased and delivered by Maison Moving, and we offer full-service packing for a worry-free move.

Fragile Items

Wrap everyday dishes individually with packing paper. Bubble wrap figurines, crystal, china, and other extremely fragile items.

Small Boxes (1.5 cu. ft.)

Use for books, dishes, DVDs, and breakables. 20 small boxes beat 10 large, heavy ones and reduce damage from excess weight.

Large Boxes (3.0 cu. ft.)

Pack clothing and other large but light items in these bigger boxes.

Wardrobe Boxes

Move hanging items directly from closet to closet on the hangers. Also useful for shoes, bedding, and light items.

Mirror/Picture Cartons

Protect mirrors, frames, and tabletops. These cartons can be customized to fit any sized piece.
